Future plans
I might (or might not) inlcude these features in a future release of YAT, whenever I have the time to do it:
- Inlcude a folder structure, so that it's possible to create more comprehensive photo albums. Each folder will get a special thumbnail with several "mini-thumbnails" of containing pictures.
- More layout options for descriptions, prologues and epilogues (e.g. bold, italics, font sizes, multiline descriptions, etc.)
- Automatically extract descriptions from metadata locations, such as descript.ion, files.bbs, JPEG headers, PNG headers, NTFS metadata, etc.
- Selectable templates for the resulting HTML pages. If you already created your own, and it supports all of YAT's features (like paging), you may donate it and I'll consider including it.
- Thumbnails and normals should retain their format. This means that PNG alphachannels will have to be scaled properly as well, not to mention 48/64-bits colors.
- If possible and the specs are free of charge, I might add support for RAW formats and possibly other porfessional ones, such as TIFF. RAW and TIFF will obvisously not retain their format when generating thumbnails and normals.
- Add watermarks for thumbnails and/or normals. A watermark can be a blended PNG file, simply a date imprint, or something else.
- Add rudimentary editing capabilities for thumbnails and/or normals, such as rotate, flip, invert, crop, etc.
